HotBookies

About HotBookies

Pro sports bettors, reviewing bookmakers like we’re briefing a friend.

HotBookies is run by a small team that has been betting professionally for over twenty years. We’ve held accounts at almost every Tier 1 sportsbook in Europe, placed seven-figure annual volume through brokers and exchanges, and spent more hours than we care to admit on bonus T&Cs, license registers and payout escalation queues. Everything on this site comes out of that experience.

How we got here

Two decades of skin in the game.

The HotBookies desk started as a handful of full-time bettors trading Asian football lines and pre-match value on the European majors. We moved through the matched-betting era, the betting-exchange era, the surge of Nordic-licensed operators, the crypto sportsbook wave and the US re-regulation that followed PASPA. Along the way we signed up, got limited, reopened, got VIP-hosted and got closed again at every operator you’ll see reviewed on this site.

That history is the only reason the reviews here are useful. We can tell you which bookmaker actually pays sharps in full, which ones slow-roll withdrawals once your ROI creeps above 2%, and which welcome offers look generous but collapse the moment you read the minimum-odds clause. We also know who the affiliate managers are, which is how we keep our redirect links and promo codes working when operators move infrastructure.

We’re based in Scandinavia, so our coverage skews heavily to MGA, SGA, SRIJ and UKGC licensees, plus the global books and brokers most relevant to serious European bettors. We’re steadily expanding into US state-licensed operators and regulated crypto sportsbooks with proper KYC, both with the same trust filter as the rest of the site.

How we work

Five principles we won’t compromise on.

Pro bettors, not marketers

The team behind HotBookies has been placing serious volume since the early 2000s. We've grinded +EV markets, built models, ran arbs on pre-match and in-play, scaled Asian handicap action through brokers, and had accounts limited at every major book in Europe. We write reviews the way we'd brief a friend, not the way a marketing agency pitches a landing page.

Direct lines to the operators

Over two decades, we've built direct relationships with affiliate managers, VIP hosts and compliance leads at most of the biggest sportsbooks in the world. That access gets you earlier notice on term changes, honest context on why an offer looks tempting, and working CTAs that actually credit the promo you came for.

Payouts, limits and friction first

A 500% welcome bonus is meaningless if the operator limits winning accounts inside a week or holds your withdrawal for 14 days on a KYC excuse. Every review on this site is scored on trust, markets, bonus value and support because those four variables decide whether an account is actually worth opening.

Affiliate revenue, disclosed

We get paid when readers sign up through our links. That doesn't move a rating, a verdict, or the red flags we raise. If a bookmaker starts shaving value, stalling payouts or hiding wagering conditions, we lower the score and say so, affiliate deal or not. Look for the sponsored tag on every outbound CTA.

Safer gambling is non-negotiable

We only link to operators licensed in the markets we cover, and we surface responsible-gambling tools in every review: deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion pathways and regulator-backed helplines. If you're chasing losses, stop reading reviews and use the support links at the bottom of this page.

Operator relationships

Direct lines to the biggest brands in sports betting.

Over the past twenty years we’ve worked directly with affiliate teams at Tier 1 sportsbooks, boutique Nordic operators, dedicated betting exchanges and global brokers. These relationships give us early visibility on terms, first look at new products, and a direct escalation path when something goes wrong with a reader’s withdrawal or bonus.

Listing an operator here doesn’t mean we endorse it. We show the full picture, licence, market depth, limits, payout friction, in every individual review. When a relationship stops matching our standards, the review says so and we remove the affiliate redirect until it’s fixed.

Editorial standard

Every review meets the same checklist.

  • · Licence verified against public regulator registers.
  • · Welcome offer read end-to-end, including wagering and min-odds.
  • · Live deposit and withdrawal tested where legally possible.
  • · Stake-factor and account-limit history checked with our desk.
  • · Support contacted once as a new user, once with a payout question.
  • · Responsible-gambling tools and self-exclusion paths confirmed.

Work with us

Operator, affiliate manager, or serious bettor?

If you run a licensed sportsbook and want to be considered for review, or you spot a term we got wrong, we’d rather hear about it directly than have readers flag it later. We take reader feedback seriously. If a withdrawal or bonus didn’t credit the way our review suggested, tell us.

Safer gambling

HotBookies is 18+ only and we only publish operators licensed in the markets they serve. If your betting feels out of control, stop and use your local regulator-backed support: GAMSTOP (UK), Spelpaus (Sweden), ROFUS (Denmark), Spillpaussen (Norway), Autosperre (Germany), or BeGambleAware.org internationally. No bonus is worth chasing losses.
